Books and Authors I Recommend- Spirituality

What this list is not
  • a curriculum
  • my favorite books
  • a list of all the books I've read
  • more valid than someone elses
The content of the following authors and books varies greatly, but they all have one thing in common: to read them is to expand the mind. Not to take away from other books I've enjoyed greatly (especially science fiction because, let's face it, I'm a geek), but the ones below I can recommend, be they fiction or non-fiction, in the light of increasing understanding towards the goal of evolution of the self. In addition to the books below, I also recommend the study of philosophy and psychology in general.

This list is just a smattering to get you started. Part of the joy is discovering those things that speak to you.

Spirituality
  • The main religious texts for all religions, ex. Bible, Tanakh, Bhagavad-Gita
  • Sefer Yetzirah by Aryeh Kaplan
  • The Cloud Upon the Sanctuary by Karl Von Eckarshausen
  • The Upanishads
  • The Song of Songs
  • Any Legitimate text of Freemasonry
  • The Divine Comedy by Dante
  • Anything by Giordano Bruno
  • The Fourth Way by P.D. Ouspensky
  • A New Model of the Universe by P.D. Ouspensky
  • Initiation by Elizabeth Haich
  • Anything by Robert Monroe
  • The Red Lion by Maria Orsi
  • Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert Persig
And yes, I would recommend any serious pathworker to read my book, Heavy Bags of Soul, for the 21st century.  It's all there.
