What *isn't* community?! The manager at a restaurant I frequent always has a sunny disposition and smile. My day is better just because he emanates who he is. He's part of my "community" even though I don't even know his name. I would miss him if he weren't there anymore. People I've known online for years and never met in real life are part of my "community". I care about their thoughts, their lives and enjoy our interactions. Then there are organizations I belong to, work and co-workers, family, people from classes I've taken, people with the same educational backgrounds, same interests, same vocations, or people with different skill and knowledge sets that I admire but don't have myself- all of these are types of communities to me, to greater and lesser degrees. People in my town, my state, my country, my world- all are communities of identification of one type or another.
My solar system?
Ok, maybe that's getting a little out there.
